Connie, I was my great pleasure to meet you after your first night performance at Dimitrio’s Jazz Alley a couple of months ago. I introduced myself and offered you my personal perspective that “You are wonderful!” Well, I just had to share it with someone. You and I had a short discussion about Brazilian music and how it is particularly poignant, with songs like Dindi, Insensatez, Girl from Ipanema, Meditation, etc., all written by Antonio Carlos Jobim; not the blues but a softer, sadly sensitive variation that somehow fits in with the samba culture of Brazil. I love your song selections and have discovered how many of them are on my list of 100 personal favorites. I can’t wait for you to return to Seattle. Hurry back. Walt Wilson
